You are trying to make a sports team and you
want to emulate someone who is very successful
in that sport i.e. Drew Brees, quarterback for
the New Orleans Saints. So you study him.
You study the way he prepares for a game – you
study how he reads the defense. You want to
be like him. We read about and study the saints
because they dedicated their lives to the Lord
and we strive to do the same with our lives.

inspiration. They are our reminder of the rewards
given to those who live with Our Lord Jesus Christ
as the Center of our life.

In the Church’s opinion, “the honor paid to

the Ark of the Covenant.

view of venerating our saints:

know someone who is very well respected at
that company, so you call them and ask them
to” put in a good word for you,” hoping to
increase your chances of getting the job. We
pray to the saints and ask their intercession
with our prayer, or
