th Annual Dining By Design
Sunday, August 25, 2013
Dining by Design 2013, the only
fundraiser dedicated to the operating
budget of Cypress Springs Mercedarian
Prayer Center, is fast approaching and
there is still a few opportunities for
you to participate at any level. This extravaganza is being held on
Sunday, August 25th at Crowne Place Hotel in Baton Rouge.
This culinary event is unique in that Chef John Folse, creator
and co-chairman of Dining by Design, selects a Louisiana delicacy
(
shrimp, crawfish, etc.) which each of the ten (10) guest chefs need
to incorporate in their appetizer as well as the meat to be used in
the main course. The chefs then showcase their experience and
culinary creativity which has awarded them the national and
Louisiana notoriety so deserving to someone with their talents.
There are several levels of participation. Gold level tables (seat
20
people) are served by a national celebrity chef and the table is
masterfully decorated by Louisiana florists and designers. The 12
Silver tables, which seat 10 people each, are exquisitely decorated
as well, with dinner presented by several of our talented Louisiana
chefs. Bronze level tables (also seat 10) are served by our own Chef
John Folse. A limited number of tickets (both table sponsorship
and individual) are still available at any level. Because seating is
limited, please reserve your table/ticket today by completing the
form provided and returning it to the Prayer Center. Feel free to use
the envelope provided.
Remember, Dining by Design tickets make an excellent
gift. Not only will your guests enjoy a beautiful evening of fine
cuisine, but they will experience a spiritual renewal as they listen to
inspirational testimonies shared that evening. Gift certificates are
available upon request.

Chillin & Grillin
Saturday, August 24, 2013
Join us for a very casual,
laid-back evening at White Oak
Plantation on Saturday, August
24, 2013.
This event was
originally created and continues
to be held to thank the Gold and
Silver level table sponsors and to
introduce these sponsors to their
personal chefs and designers for Sunday evening’s Dining by Design
event.
This year, an invitation to
Chillin’ & Grillin’
is being extended
to anyone who would like to attend this fun-filled evening. Just
imagine, sitting around the side patio watching a pig being roasted
in the open air brick oven or seeing red snapper as it turns on the
spickets of an open fire. The aroma and ambience of the evening
will remind you of southern hospitality of days gone by. You will
remember the simple things of life and how we in Louisiana savor
the opportunity to gather on a summer evening for good food and
especially good c mpany.
Tickets for this event are $50 per person and can be obtained
by calling the Prayer Center at 225/752-8480. There are a limited
number of tickets available, so please reserve yours today.
