Cypress Springs Mercedarian Prayer Center has some exciting and
inspirational events taking place August through December, 2010.
Here is a synopsis of these events:
Continuing Programs
Rosary Group:
Every Tuesday morning@
7:30
a.m. – Our Rosary Group meets each
Tuesdaymorning to pray the rosary to Our
Blessed Mother. Participants share their
petitions either aloud to the group or
write themdown and put them in a basket
so that Sister Dulce and the Mercedarian
Sisters may add these petitions to their
daily prayers. This spiritual devotion to
Our Lady is held in the Dolphin Room at
the Prayer Center and begins promptly at
7:30
a.m. Everyone is invited to attend.
Men’s Spirituality Class:
First Wednesday of each month @ 7:00 a.m. –
Sister Dulce conducts a Men’s Spirituality Class on the first Wednesday of
each month. This group continues to grow and participants have shared
that this is a wonderful way for them to learn more about their faith and
understand their role as men in the Christian community. Men begin
to gather at 6:30 a.m. for coffee and fellowship and the class begins
promptly at 7:00 a.m. and ends by 8:00 a.m. This class is currently open
for new participants and if you are interested, you may call the Ministry
Office at 225/752-8480 for more details or you may just come and join
the other men looking to grow in their faith and become disciples of
Christ.
Women’s Spirituality Class:
Second Wednesday of each month @ 6:00
p.m. – Sister Dulce meets with Women for this one hour class where
she explains and reminds us of the role of the women in the family
and in our religious community. This class is open for adult women
and if you would like to be added to the e-mail list of participants to
receive information regarding this class please call the Ministry Office
at 225/752-8480.

Open House Celebration
–
With the completion of the Cypress
Springs Mercedarian Prayer Center, we come together in celebration
and thanksgiving for the gifts from Our Lord. Visitors will have the
opportunity to tour the new convent and Mercedarian Private Chapel.

Women’s Spirituality Retreat & Shopping Bazaar
–
Sister
Dulce will conduct a half-day retreat for Women of Faith. This retreat
will prepare us for the Christmas Season and reinforce our responsibility
to share the true meaning of Christmas with our family and friends.
Immediately following the retreat, the Cypress Springs Mercedarian
Prayer Center will host a Christmas Shopping Bazaar.
The Gift Shop will be stocked with many, unique and
inspirational gifts for everyone on your list – from
babies to grandparents – we are sure you will find
that special item that will make their Christmas even
more special and memorable. If you are currently on

Men’s Spirituality Fall Retreat
–
Because of the busy schedules
and abundant responsibilities men have on their plates today, Sister
Dulce takes this time to afford men the opportunity to come together
and “breathe” in the love of Christ. With the Christmas Season right
around the corner, men have this opportunity to slow down their busy
minds and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas – how they as the
men of the church – can inspire and educate their families and friends
as examples of Christ living within them each and every day. If you

Children’s Posada
–
Children who attend this event, will follow
the shepherd who has left his field in search of the Christ child.
This event was first held last year and was so inspiring, that the Ministry
Center has opened this event to all children and parents looking to live the
Christmas Season and bring this lesson to the forefront of our Christmas

Dining by Design

The Third Annual Dining by Design Event
will be held on Sunday,
May 15, 2011.
This annual fundraiser is a blend
of culinary excellence and artistic perfection. National & Louisiana chefs
are partnered with florists and interior designers to bring you a unique
dining experience. Personal testimonies are shared so that everyone
can be reminded of how Our Lord is present and working in our lives
every minute of every day. The funds raised at this event are dedicated
to the operating budget of the Ministry Center. If you are interested
in more information, purchasing a ticket or even sponsoring a table,

The Cypress SpringsMercedarian Prayer Center offers
these events in an effort to bring families and people
of faith together. All of our events are intended to
strengthen and inspire people to want more – to
better understand - and to open dialogue between
Christians in sharing our faith.
